A. Nia Austin-Edwards (ANAE) is a nonbinary witch with mermaid tendencies who has built a life around the practice of support through writing, dancing, creating, storytelling, listening, caring. ANAE’s performing career began in a mother’s womb, developed in Atlanta, GA, at Total Dance / Dancical Productions, Inc., and was further activated through Tri-Cities Visual and Performing Arts Magnet High School and Brooklyn's Ase Dance Theatre Collective. Since the start of 2013, Nia has facilitated yeye's work in the world through PURPOSE Productions, a collective who supports artists and organizers in the mothering of purpose-FULL work through visioning, strategic, administrative, and marketing support alongside a deep culture of caretaking. As Creator.Emancipator.Oracle (C.E.O.), Nia's primary work is the mothering of the PURPOSE team. Angela's Pulse is a PURPOSE Productions sojourner, the name chosen to define collaborations which honors the journey taken together.
