We come from cultures targeted for substance abuse. POC, Queer, Political, and Counter Culture communities are inundated with ads, substance flow, and use so much so that we often see it as part of our culture. Many of our beautiful occasions, events, fundraisers, and celebrations center around substances. In this session we will discuss strategies to combat this reality to build safe and healing inclusive environments that don’t always center on substance use.
