Disguising Data Against Ubiquitous Surveillance

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Modern day surveillance knows no borders. During this workshop we’ll shine a light on the surveillance technology context, and borrow from participants’ experiences to discuss challenges around collecting, producing and sharing sensitive information. Based on tactics and resources used by different ancient cultures and activists, we’ll collaboratively prototype out-of-the-box ‘data disguises’. We aim to spur creative thinking around privacy and consent in the context of evergrowing surveillance.
