Writing continues to be a cornerstone to civilization as we know it. This session addresses poetry as a contemporary and growing element within writing. Participants will engage in a 60 minute writing session lead by the Detroit Youth Poetry Slam Team addressing how current events transform the world of teenagers versus how they transform the world of adults. This will be followed by a 30 minute open mic and performance by the Slam Team.
