#MeToo Reporting from a Feminist Transformative Justice Lens

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

How does media frame sexual violence against cis, queer and/or trans girls/women of color? How can we cultivate a culture of consent and transformative justice in reporting? Enlisting the Chicago Taskforce’s intersectional media guide, we explore how the media reports on sexual violence (incl at the hands of the state & police), the impact and dangers of this reporting, and what we can do to radically transform these representations. Participants will re/write an article thru a transformative justice lens.
