Jesus is a filmmaker from the Bronx dedicated to the use of video and social media to amplify the work of historically oppressed communities. He is currently working on a documentary about his personal experiences with "The American Dream" and mental health. The documentary is largely based on VHS archival letters that his mother sent to his father who had to migrate to the U.S. from Mexico in the early 90's. Jesus first came to GAP as a youth producer in 2009 and is now in his fourth year co-facilitating GAP’s Youth Breaking Borders program for new immigrant youth as well as GAP's Lead Media Educator supporting many aspects of GAP programming., Global Action Project
