afrofuturepast: Dance Technology and Aesthetics as Self Care

Black aesthetics play a pivotal role in ritual and emergence. afrofuturepast posits Black dance and adornment as essential tools for self care. This two part session and performance series will introduce Dunham Technique basics and improvisation, and discuss daily care rituals. Participants will leave with an understanding of the relationship between form and function in everyday aesthetics.
