When conversations about accessibility and universal design are dominated by non-disabled "experts," the resulting spaces inevitably perpetuate ableism. How can we better engage disabled community members and incorporate lived experience into spatial planning and design? We will discuss common pitfalls and pain points before diving into participants` individual cases. After this session, you`ll have concrete resources and action items for improving the accessibility of your events and meetups.
