How can spaces that center youth dismantle gender norms and binaries to create youth empowerment and combat gender based violence? This workshop will explore (as experienced in Western cultures) expectations of femininity and masculinity within youth spaces. Participants will brainstorm how heteronormativity and cisgender privilege affect youth empowerment and youth organizing to establish youth inclusive spaces.
