Hanniyah Cross

Hanniyah Cross is a poet, vocalist, and project manager from Detroit. Her personal work focuses on themes of religion, spirituality, and the black female identity. Her project based work is centered around creating safe spaces for creatives of color to work, express, and exhibit. She has a background in broadcast journalism and dance at Wayne State University. Honey is also co founder of Motown Community Gardens and co host of The New Kids Radio a podcast. Currently Honey is prepping for a summer series with Murals and Sliders, and the release of her first poetry project later this year.
