Power Shift Network
Trainings Coordinator
Philadelphia
Hope is a queer, Muslim, Egypt-o-Rican, who continuously devotes themselves to gender, ethnic and racial equity. As a Social Worker and community capacity builder, Hope has grounded themself in fostering leadership development, particularly for young people of color. Experiences working in museums, domestic violence shelter systems and the NYC Health Department have expanded Hope’s passion for creating spaces that are accessible and value multicultural experiences. As an active alumni of the first ever Young Women’s Advisory Council, Hope works to actualize gender equity for cis young women, trans and gender non-conforming youth of color. Now at PSN, Hope continues to uplift the needs and voices of disinvested communities by providing and amplifying organizational and youth leadership trainings. Originally from NYC, Hope now resides in Philly. In addition to justice work, Hope loves to explore Philly, travel internationally, dance and read cross-cultural fiction.
