Jimmy Hill

XRYSALIS
Jimmy received his BA in Sociology with a concentration in Ethnic Studies: Race and Resistance Studies from San Francisco State University. His education has given him considerable expertise in the cultural, interpersonal, and contextual components that create social issues within communities. He has worked with numerous organizations within the Bay Area where he has put into action his skills in engagement strategies, program development, and project management. Jimmy has been recognized as a cultural strategist and connector of the local and rural landscape. Jimmy serves as catalyst, curator, educator, and producer of systemic change. As a consultant he works with organizations to build capacity for increased community engagement through the uses of creative arts, performance, and project management as modalities of healing. In 2015 Jimmy created XRYSALIS a multi-day festival and movement centering Queer People of Color.
