Alex Kime

Neutral Zone
Alex is a current Master of Social Work student at the University of Michigan where they are a National Community Scholar and a Graduate Student Instructor for the Program on Intergroup Relations. Over the past six years, they have facilitated a wide variety of workshops, dialogues, retreats, presentations, multi-genre art salons, and academic classes around social identity development, critical power analysis, community-centered processes of meaning-making, creative expression, college access, and the multi-identity decolonial analysis of hegemonic or 'dominant' narratives in culture both as an individual and representing The Neutral Zone and various university programs. They received Highest Honors in Creative Writing & Literature, were a finalist for the 2017 Martin Luther King Jr. Award, and a recipient of the 2017 Patricia Gurin Certificate Of Merit in Intergroup and the Rackham Graduate School's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusión Professional Development Certificate.
