Diana Nucera

Detroit Community Technology Project
The director of the Detroit Community Technology Project and co-founder of the Detroit Digital Justice Coalition. Her work for the past 12 years has focused on developing popular education materials that empower communities to use media and technology to investigate, illuminate, and develop visionary solutions to challenges. Recently since 2016 she has co-led the Equitable Internet Initiative, an effort to redistribute gigabit Internet connectivity from Downtown Detroit to marginalized neighborhoods, while developing models neighborhood communications infrastructure that is sustainable, resilient, and community-controlled.
