Kate McCabe

Kate McCabe is a writer and organizer whose work focuses on human rights advocacy and transitional justice. She is the founder of Éist, an organization which uses art, culture, and media to promote first person perspectives of justice and accountability in the aftermath of war. Kate is a graduate of the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma, and holds a master's degree in Environmental Justice at the University of Michigan. Kate has worked as an advocate on behalf of Irish peace and justice issues for about fifteen years. She is a board member of Irish American Writers & Artists. Kate is a contributing writer to IrishCentral, and her work has also been published by the Irish Echo, CounterPunch, ICTJ, TransConflict, and Warscapes.
