Pauline Alvarez

Pauline Alvarez is an enrolled member of the Gila River Indian Community and is also of Tohono O’odham descent. She is a lecturer at California State University, Northridge in the American Indian Studies Program. She earned her MA in American Indian Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her academic and political interests include the construction of Indigeneity, Indigenous urbanization, Indigenous tattooing, tribal sovereignty, and Native feminisms.
