Phylicia Brown

Legacy Movement, Just Resisting
Phylicia is an early childhood educator and a community organizer in Buffalo, NY. In addition to organizing, she has served as a teacher and a full-time educational advocate. Her passion for education is rooted in bridging the gap between justice work and education; engaging students in a process that transforms them from learners to doers, builders, and leaders. In addition to her NYS teaching certification, she holds an MSEd. in Curriculum and Instruction and a BA in Early Childhood and Childhood Education. Education outside of the realm of justice is not education at all; it is just school.
