Tawana "Honeycomb" Petty is a mother, anti-racist social justice organizer, youth advocate, poet and author. She is the Data Justice Coordinator and Communications Assistant for the Detroit Community Technology Project (DCTP), founding member of the Our Data Bodies Project (ODB), member of the Detroit Digital Justice Coalition (DDJC), Director of Petty Propolis, and founding member of Riverwise Magazine Collective. She has published 2 poetry books, one political reader and a anti-racism curriculum guide. Honeycomb is most proud of her ability to resist getting "stuck in old ideas."
